A rubber membrane plate is a filter press plate fitted with a flexible rubber diaphragm on one or both faces. After initial pressure filtration, compressed air or water is introduced behind the diaphragm, inflating it to mechanically squeeze the filter cake. This secondary squeezing step — called membrane squeezing or diaphragm squeezing — removes residual moisture that pump pressure alone cannot achieve.
Unlike welded PP membrane plates where the diaphragm is fused permanently to the plate body, LONGONE rubber membrane plates use a clamped or groove-seated rubber diaphragm that can be removed and replaced independently.
