Plate and Frame Filter plate

A plate and frame filter plate is part of one of the earliest and most flexible filter press designs. Unlike recessed chamber plates — where the filtration cavity is formed by the plate body itself — a plate and frame system alternates flat filter plates with separate frames. The frame defines the chamber depth and controls cake thickness, while filter cloth or filter paper is placed between the plate and frame to achieve solid-liquid separation.

Every filter press application is different. LONGONE provides fully customized plate and frame filter plates — from non-standard dimensions to special chemical-resistant materials — engineered to match your exact equipment and process requirements.

How Filter Plates Are Made

Every LONGONE plate and frame filter plate goes through a controlled manufacturing process — from raw material selection to final pressure testing — to ensure consistent dimensional accuracy, sealing reliability and long service life.

Raw material inspection — PP and PVDF granules are tested for grade consistency before entering production.
Compression molding — Plates are formed under precise temperature and pressure conditions to ensure uniform density and structural integrity.
CNC machining — Sealing edges, feed ports, corner holes and drainage surfaces are machined to tight tolerances for accurate fit and leak-free assembly.
Dimensional inspection — Each plate is measured against engineering drawings before moving to the next stage.
Hydraulic pressure testing — Every finished plate is individually pressure-tested to verify seal integrity before shipment.
